As I was home alone today I couldn’t decide what to make myself for lunch. We went out to eat last night so I didn’t have any leftovers to chow down on, but I didn’t want to cook anything either. What I really wanted was something sweet, but I haven’t made my grocery store trip yet this week so I didn’t have a lot to work with. That’s when I remembered my grandma’s gooey butter cake and how it doesn’t take much to make it! Yes! Sweet Success! Pun intended
You Will Need:
-1 box yellow cake mix
-1 stick of melted butter
-1 egg
-1lb powdered sugar
-8oz cream cheese
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-2 eggs
Directions:
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees
-Mix together cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg
-Grease a 9×13 pan and press the mix into the bottom of it
-Mix together powdered sugar, vanilla, cream cheese,and 2 eggs
-Spread over the top of the cake mix
-Bake for 40-45 minutes
-Let cool and cut into squares
